PASTOR'S COMMENTS:

Nothing identifies a ministry with the heart of God more than supporting missions.  I believe one of the prerequisites for growth and prosperity in a church is an active mission program.  In Matthew 28:19 & 20 Jesus commands the church to "go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..."

It is Antiochs Vision that Intercessory Prayer will be an annointed ministry committed to reaching, preaching and teaching humanity through the love of Christ and God's Word.  It's mission is to develop disciples of Christ through unconditional love and biblical principles.

Therefore through Intercessory Prayer you will be better able to fortify, buildup and prophesy God's purposes for the Antioch ministry.  Through this you will better able to achieve victory through prayer by pulling down every stronghold of the enemy, so that the purposes of God will be fulfilled and every man, woman, boy, and girl will be delivered.

Intercessory Prayer

The primary purpose of the Antioch COGIC intercessory prayer group is to function as an entity within the body that supports and promotes our committment to discipleship.  We are a ministry committed to discipleship.  As disciples, we must recognize that there is spiritual wickedness in high places, always attempting to hinder the move of God in our lives; therefore, the reason for Ephesians 6:18, "...Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints..."

The call to intercede is of the utmost importance.  When we pray and fast according to Isaiah 58, lost souls will surrender to Christ, the sick will be healed, our brothers and sisters in Christ will be empowered by the Holy Ghost and much much more because of your faithfulness in prayer; but on teh other hand, imagine the souls that will remain lost, illnesses that will not be healed, a weak fellowship and many other blessings that will be forsaken because you decided not to be obedient to your calling to prayer.
