PASTOR'S COMMENTS:

Nothing identifies a ministry with the heart of God more than supporting missions.  I believe one of the prerequisites for growth and prosperity in a church is an active mission program.  In Matthew 28:19 & 20 Jesus commands the church to "go and make disciples of all nations...teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you..."

Mission

To share scriptural truths and principles to both the saved and unsaved in an effort to persuade them to make Jesus Christ the Lord of their lives.  Realizing that this is the only way to receive total deliverance over every challenge of life.

QUESTIONS

Q:  Why is spiritual guidance needed?

A:  The Bible states in Proverbs 11:14, "where there is no counsel, the people fall:  but in the multitude of counselors there is safety (KJV).  It is plain to see that God urges us to always seek the advice of other competent saints when facing life's problems.

The Bible also states that, "without counsel purposes are disappointed; but in the multitude of counselors they established (Proverbs 15:22).

Q:  Who does the Bible task to give this counseling or guidance?

A:  See the following scriptures for the answer:  Ephesians 4:11-12; Acts 20:28; I Peter 5:2.

The Lord has appointed leaders in the church to minister to his people.  Therefore, the scripture warns all believers not to forsake the assembling of ourselves together as the manner of some is; (Hebrews 10:25).
